While new to some, Diia is far from that when it comes to her peers in her native Canada.
The singer/songwriter released her her first self-written EP ‘More Than Ordinary’ in 2012.
Following that, in 2013,was the self-written EP ‘Kaleidoscope Eyes’ which is where the attention started to shift. Diia caught the attention of Brandon Paddock; who previously worked with Avril Lavigne. The two penned and produced music together, an experience Diia describes as being “invaluable to her growth as an artist”. Soon after Diia met Canadian icon Dan Hill (Sometimes When We Touch), and the two are currently creating music together. In addition to this are collaborations w/ UK outfit Frequency, and Canadian producer/artist Cugini.
A born performer, she has also self-produced 2 music videos for her songs: Alone and Nothing Without; both of which showcase her unique personality and diverse skill-set.
The media has recognized this hard work and Diia has been heard both on Canadian radio and TV, where she has been featured on CHRY’s 105.5 FM, Radio Humber 96.9 FM, and on OMNI TV’s ‘V-mix’ program.
Diia is cementing her place as one of Canada’s most promising up and coming stars.
